Group Training at Helix Gym

Here’s a brief rundown of how it works but we can give you all the finer details when you come in person to meet us ASAP!

The major components of each of our 60 min training sessions are as follows:

  • A warm-up to ensure you’re ready to go to war in the session ahead
  • Strength training exercises progressing the back squat, deadlift, bench press, military press
  • Accessory exercises to add volume and repetitions to key exercises that are important for building athleticism, strength, stability and burning fat
  • A conditioning component to shred fat and build the chiselled physique you’ve always dreamt of

We work from 12-week training programs that are divided into 4 x 3-week cycles, this is then split into 3x upper body and 3x lower body sessions per week

Monday, Wednesday & Friday = Lower body

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday = Upperbody

Each week the program is progressed from the previous week to ensure our programming aligns with the key science-based principles for obtaining long-term sustainable results

60 Minute Sessions

Think you don’t have enough time to fit full-body, effective workouts into your busy life? Our professionally created, comprehensive group training sessions are all an hour long — and we don’t waste a minute of it. Each 60 minute functional strength training workout is specifically designed to target the entire body and includes a proper warmup, effective strength and conditioning aspects, and injury prevention components.

In only an hour, you can give your entire body an effective workout, move closer to your fitness goals, and complete effective strength and conditioning exercises. With over 40 sessions to choose from every week, you can always look forward to a new workout — and outstanding results.

12 Week Training Blocks

Our expert coaches and trainers design comprehensive training programs 12 weeks in advance. At the start and end of each 12 week training block, we thoroughly assess the results, make any necessary adjustments, and meticulously plan new workouts to get you the best results in the least amount of time.

Preparing For Your First Small Group Training Session @ Helix

When you join us at Helix for your first session, please arrive about ten minutes early so you can meet our team and start warming up. Our coaches will explain the upcoming session, so you know what to expect and how to prepare. At the appointed starting time, coaches will begin the group warmup, and then you will join other members for your best training session of your life.

Our Small Group Training Timetable

Helix Gym offers 35+ sessions for you to choose from each week, and the sessions are 60 minutes each. Our coaches carefully plan the sessions in 12-week blocks. Coaches will evaluate results at the end of 12 weeks to learn if any modifications are needed.

Questions That Get Reps

Our group training sessions are 60min in duration, we recommend all members come in and warmup 10mins earlier.

Yes, all sessions are coached by our team of elite coaches. The session has a group warmup for 5min followed by 20-30min of strength work, we then finish with accessories and conditioning

We can work around most injuries and still have productive functional strength training experience, we specialise in rehab for sporting injuries.

If you’re broken, we will fix you and make sure you still achieve the results you want.

Yes, we give all clients training programming via the TrainHeroic mobile application, members are asked to update their sets, reps, weights and rate their sessions on the app.

We offer a range of memberships to suit every budget, they range from 2x per week to unlimited, our pricing starts at $69 per week. All memberships include access to our recovery suite, open gym, after hours access, 1 on 1 coaching, nutrition and much more!

Yes we start each new member after their free 7-day trial with the following:

Yes, we offer sports nutrition although for complex issues we would recommend seeing a dietician.

No, we have a 30-day notice after a 12-week minimum on all memberships as of June 2022.

Yes, we have 30-days of holds per 12-months, additional time can be requested with relevant medical certificates. We’re happy to be accomodating and work with our members to get through any personal situation that would require extended time off the gains lab.
